Jayapura — A rapid response from joint personnel of the Directorate of Samapta and the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) of Papua Regional Police sparked strong public appreciation after they were deployed to clear landslide debris blocking part of the Ringroad highway on Friday night (Nov 28, 2025).
Brimob units and Rantis Dalmas teams moved swiftly to remove thick mud and rocks covering the main road, aiming to restore safe traffic flow and prevent prolonged disruption for local residents. Their quick action turned what could’ve been chaos into a situation under control—pretty clutch moment, not gonna lie.
Residents at the scene expressed heartfelt gratitude for the police’s hands-on effort.
“I’m really thankful to the police, especially Polda Papua, for coming directly to help. The road was covered in mud since last night and almost impossible to pass. Their presence really eased the burden and sped up the work,” one resident said excitedly.
They also noted the significant impact of two water-cannon units used in the clearing process, despite the severity of the mud buildup.
“If we could add like three or four more units, it would be even faster. But honestly, even with what’s here now, the help is already huge,” the resident added.
According to many on site, the emergency response and teamwork demonstrated by Polda Papua deserved recognition, considering the road’s crucial role for daily public mobility.
“We really appreciate it because this is about safety and the comfort of many families using this road,” the resident emphasized.
This concrete action reflects the police commitment to stand with the community, especially during emergencies that demand fast, precise solutions. Thanks to joint efforts, public access is now restored—making life in Jayapura roll smoothly again.
Teamwork really does hit different when done right.
