Jayapura – The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) emphasized its commitment to improve the quality of land services in Papua, in line with the agenda of bureaucratic reform and public service transformation that is being carried out by the central government.
Minister of ATR/BPN Nusron Wahid in an official statement received in Jayapura, Sunday, said that strengthening public services is one of the ministry’s top priorities. He emphasized the importance of improving the workflow, the application of information technology, and the improvement of data accuracy so that land services in Papua are faster, transparent, and accountable.
“Strengthening public services is an important agenda in the Ministry of ATR/BPN. We want the workflow and technology utilization to continue to be strengthened so that every service process runs more efficiently and accurately,” said Nusron.
One of the focus of service improvement, according to Nusron, is the acceleration of the digitization of the land system. With an electronic-based system, the process of land certification, mapping, recording land rights, to the management of ownership data will be easier to access and supervise.
“Digitalization is also considered important to ensure that land data is managed in a modern and reliable manner,” he said.
In addition to technology, Nusron emphasized that the improvement of the quality of human resources in the Kanwil BPN Papua environment is a determining factor for the success of service reform. He encouraged all ranks of BPN to continue to improve technical skills, work discipline, and professionalism in serving the community.
“Service must provide certainty to the community. They came to the BPN office to get clarity of the flow, clarity of the process, and clarity of the results. For that, competent human resources are very necessary,” he said.
Efforts to improve the quality of land services in Papua are expected to have a significant impact on the community, especially in providing legal certainty for land ownership, resolving agrarian conflicts, and supporting the acceleration of infrastructure development and investment in the region.
With this step, the Ministry of ATR/BPN hopes that land services in Papua will be more effective, inclusive, and provide a positive experience for all levels of society.
