Cartenz Peace Task Force Promotes Literacy Through Book Distribution in Intan Jaya

Intan Jaya, Central Papua — Schools across Intan Jaya saw an unusually vibrant atmosphere on Friday (21 November 2025). From early morning, students from elementary to high school eagerly gathered to welcome 18 personnel from the Damai Cartenz Peace Task Force—this time arriving not for security duties, but carrying a mission of education.

Over a four-hour program, from 08:00 to 12:00 WIT, the task force conducted interactive teaching sessions and distributed reading materials. The initiative aims to foster a culture of reading while strengthening the foundation for human resource development in Papua.

Among the personnel participating were Bripda Ramadhan Dalif Makaminan and Bripda Alex Logo, accompanied by 16 others. Their presence among the students created a warm and enthusiastic learning environment, serving as a positive bridge between security forces and the local community.

The Head of the Damai Cartenz Operation emphasized that the program reflects the task force’s human-centered approach, which prioritizes building trust and harmonious relations with the people of Papua. Education, he noted, is a crucial pillar for achieving a more advanced and prosperous future.

“We hope this activity inspires Papuan children to read more and pursue knowledge with greater enthusiasm,” stated Brig. Gen. Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H.

Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Operations, Kombes Pol Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., expressed appreciation for the personnel’s ongoing initiatives in supporting human resource development through social and educational outreach. He described the effort as part of a sustainable strategy to promote stability and social progress in the region.

Through this literacy program, the Damai Cartenz Task Force underscores that its mission extends beyond maintaining security. It also includes strengthening educational quality and supporting literacy development for Papuan communities—laying the groundwork for a brighter, more competitive future for the youth of Intan Jaya.
