Intan Jaya Regency Government to Review Cooperation Agreement with Sekolah Anak Indonesia Foundation in Bogor

Nabire — The Intan Jaya Regency Government plans to conduct a comprehensive review of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) signed with the Sekolah Anak Indonesia (SAI) Foundation, located in Kp Legok Gaok RT 02 RW 05, Kadumangu Village, Babakan Madang District, Bogor Regency. The decision comes after discovering significant discrepancies between the number of students reportedly funded and the budget proposal submitted by the foundation, which is considered inconsistent with the actual conditions.

Intan Jaya Regent, Aner Maisini, stated that his administration will thoroughly examine all documents and agreements established during the previous government’s tenure. He emphasized that the discrepancies regarding student data and the proposed budget are serious and require immediate clarification.

“Some students have already advanced to high school, so the number has decreased. But they submitted a budget proposal of 24 to 25 billion rupiah, while we, the Intan Jaya Regency Government, had already sent 8 billion,” explained Regent Aner Maisini in a phone interview on Monday (17/11/2025).

He also highlighted that the foundation submitted funding requests for new students, even though the regional government did not recruit new students this year.

“They calculated based on new students, while the students currently enrolled are those sent since 2024,” he stressed.

Aner Maisini added that the government does not want to make decisions without solid data and clear evidence. Therefore, all PKS documents and supporting data will undergo re-verification.

“I will check directly to confirm the actual form of cooperation between the government and the foundation. This must be clear,” the Regent stated.

In the coming days, the Education Office and regional leadership are scheduled to meet with the foundation and school representatives to align data and clarify each party’s responsibilities.

“What matters is meeting the school leadership directly so everything becomes transparent,” he said.

The Regent is also scheduled to make an official trip to Jakarta and Bogor to verify the issue directly with the school’s management and the foundation.

He stressed that this verification is crucial to ensure that government funding is calculated correctly and used appropriately.

“We must ensure everything is accurate so there is no miscalculated financial burden,” he affirmed.

The Regent also urged parents and students to remain calm, assuring them that the regional government will work to ensure all students continue their education at Sekolah Anak Indonesia without disruption.
