Warmth Amid Duty, Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz Strengthens Bonds with Paniai Community

Paniai, Central Papua — The continuous effort to build trust and solidarity between security forces and local communities remains a top priority for the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025. Through a social program titled “Humanitarian Touch,” personnel of the task force spent the day engaging directly with residents and children along Aikai Street, Enarotali, Paniai Regency, on Saturday (Nov 8).

The activity underscores that humanitarian engagement continues to be the foundation of maintaining peace and stability in Papua. Beyond law enforcement duties, Operation Peace Cartenz emphasizes empathy, compassion, and a human-centered approach in fostering harmony among Papuans.

The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., highlighted that the initiative reflects the police’s ongoing commitment to not only provide safety but also strengthen emotional and social bonds between officers and citizens.

“We are committed to ensuring that the presence of the police among the people is not only felt through law enforcement, but also through compassion and care. The children and communities are our partners in maintaining a peaceful and beautiful Papua,” said Brigadier General Faizal.

Several personnel from different sub-task forces participated in the activity, including members of the Public Relations, Health, Psychology, Logistics, Law Enforcement, and Action units. Among them were Police Inspector Yosafat Aji C. Samudra, S.Tr.K., M.Si., Police Second Inspector Dr. Shintia Novotna Katoda, M.Kes., and Police Second Inspector Moh. Arsyad Hafid Affandy, S.Psi., who spent time interacting warmly with local residents and children.

The atmosphere during the event was filled with laughter and a sense of togetherness. Children smiled brightly as officers played with them, shared stories, and handed out snacks. These heartwarming interactions reflected the human side of law enforcement—officers who serve not only as protectors but also as friends to the people of Papua.

In a separate statement, the Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that a humanistic approach is essential to building trust and sustaining peace in the region.

“A humanist approach is the main key to building public trust and maintaining peace in Papua. We aim to continue being present as partners of the community, not merely as guardians of security,” said Chief Commissioner Adarma.

The Humanitarian Touch program concluded safely and peacefully, demonstrating the success of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 in fostering unity, care, and social harmony within the people of Paniai.
