Timika, Papua — The Public Relations Unit of the Damai Cartenz 2025 Task Force, stationed in Timika, carried out a community outreach initiative by distributing food and drinks to residents in need across Mimika Regency on Friday (Oct 31, 2025).
Starting at 3:00 p.m. local time, the activity focused on supporting street workers, waste collectors, and children from underprivileged families. Beyond distributing meals, officers also took time to engage in friendly conversations with local residents to strengthen the bond between law enforcement and the community.
The outreach effort was led by personnel from the Damai Cartenz 2025 Public Relations Task Force, Bripda Annisa Mahardika and Bripda Alfesa Hafiz Bagaskara.
Head of Damai Cartenz 2025, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that the initiative reflects the Indonesian National Police’s (Polri) ongoing commitment to being present among the people—not only to maintain public order but also to demonstrate empathy and provide tangible assistance.
“We want to show that our presence is not just about law enforcement, but also about sharing compassion and helping ease the burdens of the community,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal Ramadhani.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Operations, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., reminded the public to maintain peace and order in their neighborhoods and to remain vigilant against provocations that could disrupt Papua’s stability.
“Let us safeguard peace together in the Land of Papua. Trust the police to ensure public safety and security,” he urged.
The Damai Cartenz 2025 Public Relations Task Force stated that similar social initiatives will continue as part of Polri’s ongoing efforts to build trust, strengthen unity, and foster closer relationships with communities throughout Papua.
