Mimika — A reflection of the Indonesian National Police’s compassion and closeness to the community was once again evident as personnel of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force 2025 carried out a social activity with children along Jalan Irigasi, Mimika Baru District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua, on Monday (October 27).
The event served as part of the police’s humanistic approach to strengthen emotional bonds with local residents — emphasizing that the role of law enforcement extends beyond maintaining security to building trust and genuine connection with the people.
Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that such activities are part of the Indonesian National Police’s strategy to ensure a safe and harmonious environment across Papua.
“We want to show that the police are present not only for law enforcement, but also as friends of the community. Closeness with the people is the key to maintaining peace in this beautiful land of Papua,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal.
During the event, Task Force personnel mingled warmly with local residents, distributing snacks to children and sharing joyful moments filled with laughter and smiles. The presence of the officers was warmly welcomed, creating an atmosphere of togetherness and happiness throughout the activity.
In a separate statement, Deputy Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that social engagement is an essential part of fostering stronger relationships between security forces and the community.
“Humanistic steps like these are important to build public trust and strengthen synergy toward achieving lasting peace and security in Papua,” said Commissioner Adarma.
Through this activity, the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force reaffirms its commitment to remain close to the people — not only as protectors of public order but also as partners and friends in the pursuit of lasting peace in the Land of Cenderawasih.
