Mimika, Central Papua — In an effort to strengthen humanitarian relations with the community, personnel of the Peace Cartenz Task Force 2025 carried out a social activity together with local residents and children along Irigasi Street, Mimika Baru District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua, on Monday (October 27).
The activity reflects the National Police’s commitment to applying a humanist approach within society, showing that the role of law enforcement officers goes beyond maintaining security — it also involves fostering closeness and mutual trust within the social environment.
Head of Peace Cartenz Operations, Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., explained that such activities are part of the National Police’s strategy to preserve and strengthen security stability in Papua.
“We want to show that the National Police are here not only for law enforcement, but also as friends of the people. Building closeness with the community is the key to maintaining peace in this beautiful land of Papua,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, task force personnel were seen directly interacting with local residents. They distributed snacks and played with children who welcomed the officers’ presence with cheerful smiles and laughter. The heartwarming moment created a sense of togetherness that further strengthened the bond between the police and the community.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Peace Cartenz Operations, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that social initiatives like this are an important means of building synergy between security forces and local communities.
“Humanitarian approaches like this are essential for building public trust and strengthening synergy toward lasting peace and security in Papua,” said Commissioner Adarma.
Through this activity, the Peace Cartenz Task Force reaffirms its commitment to being present among the people of Papua — not only as guardians of security but also as partners and friends in fostering enduring peace across the Land of Cenderawasih.
