Academic Figure from Amamapare Polytechnic Timika Supports Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force in Maintaining Papua’s Security

Timika — Support for law enforcement and security maintenance efforts in Papua continues to flow from the academic community. One such expression of support came from Mapuay Manasye T. Afasedanja, commonly known as Theo Afasedanja, an academic from Amamapare Polytechnic Timika.

In his statement, Theo Afasedanja expressed full appreciation and support for the performance of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force, which he believes has consistently maintained stability, safety, and public order throughout Papua.

“As an academic figure, we fully support the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force in safeguarding security and stability across Papua. Their presence has brought a sense of safety to the community,” he said.

Furthermore, Theo emphasized that law enforcement against groups that disturb peace and public safety in Papua must continue to be carried out firmly and professionally.

“We also support decisive legal action against those who attempt to disrupt peace in society. The law must be upheld to ensure a safe and peaceful Papua,” Theo added.

As an academic, he believes that security is the foundation of human resource development and educational advancement in Papua.

Therefore, he called on all citizens—especially the younger generation and intellectuals—to work together in preserving peace and to avoid being provoked by divisive issues.

“We truly appreciate the tangible work, achievements, and commitment of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force in keeping Papua safe, peaceful, and harmonious. A peaceful Papua is our shared hope,” he concluded.
