Nabire — The Central Papua Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) reaffirmed its role as a key partner connecting local businesses and the regional government in driving sustainable economic growth across the province. Through various initiatives and strategic programs, KADIN aims to serve as a bridge aligning business interests with government development policies.
Chairman of KADIN Central Papua, Yopie Mote, stated that the organization is focused on fostering constructive communication among entrepreneurs, investors, and local authorities to ensure that economic policies are well-suited to the real conditions of the business sector.
“KADIN is not merely a business organization, but a strategic partner to the government in strengthening the region’s economic foundation. Our goal is to ensure that policies effectively support the growth of local enterprises,” Yopie said in Nabire on Monday (October 21).
He further explained that KADIN Central Papua is prioritizing the development of productive sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, and the creative economy as part of efforts to diversify the regional economy and reduce dependency on mining.
In addition, KADIN has launched entrepreneurship training programs and market access initiatives to empower MSMEs, enabling them to compete in both regional and national markets. These efforts are expected to foster greater economic independence among communities in Central Papua.
“We want to ensure that the business community and the government move forward in the same direction — building a strong, independent, and sustainable regional economy,” he emphasized.
Through these ongoing initiatives, KADIN Central Papua remains optimistic that it can strengthen the position of local entrepreneurs while creating a more conducive investment climate to accelerate economic growth in the region.
