Jayapura, Papua – Support for law enforcement efforts and peace in Papua continues to flow from various sectors of society. One of them comes from Tanah Tabi Youth Figure, Suriel Carlos A. Taurui, who appreciated the hard work of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force in maintaining security and order in the Papua region.
In his statement, Carlos Taurui assessed that the steps taken by the Cartenz Peace Task Force together with TNI-Polri officers have provided a sense of security and trust for the community, especially in areas where security disturbances often occurred before.
“The existence of the Cartenz Peace Task Force brings a real change. People can now return to activities calmly because the presence of the officers in the field is really felt,” said Carlos.
Furthermore, he said that the young generation of Tanah Tabi has an important role in maintaining the stability and peace of Papua. According to him, young people must be the pioneers of unity and not easily influenced by provocations or misleading narratives on social media.
“We, the Papuan youth, must stand on the front line in maintaining peace. Don’t be easily provoked by divisive issues. Peaceful Papua is our shared responsibility,” said Carlos.
He also affirmed his support for the enforcement of the law carried out by the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force against armed criminal groups (KKB) that often spread terror in a number of areas of Papua. According to him, firm but measured action is an important step to ensure the security of civil society is maintained.
“The efforts of the Cartenz Peace Task Force are not only about security, but also about creating a space for the community to live in peace and dignity,” he said.
Carlos hopes that all elements of the community, both traditional figures, religious figures, and the younger generation can synergize with the security apparatus to build a safe, peaceful, and prosperous Papua.
“If we unite and do not suspect each other, then the ideal of Papua peace and prosperity is not just a slogan, but a reality that we can realize together,” he concluded.
