Jakarta — Under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, the government has officially entered a new chapter in accelerating development across Papua. This momentum was marked by the inauguration of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk as a member of the Executive Committee for the Acceleration of Special Autonomy (Otsus) Development in Papua, held at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (October 8, 2025).
According to Ribka, the Executive Committee holds a strategic role as the main driver in coordinating and accelerating development across the six Papuan provinces. “In addition to my position as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, our task is to coordinate development programs between ministries, government agencies, and regional administrations. All state-funded (APBN) programs for Papua must be reported to and synchronized through this committee,” she explained.
She emphasized that the Otsus Executive Committee serves as a vital mechanism to ensure that every development program runs in harmony, effectively, and in alignment with the President’s Asta Cita and the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).
As an official reporting directly to the President, Ribka underscored the importance of ensuring that every policy provides tangible benefits for the people of Papua.
“This is a great mandate. Our responsibility is to ensure that every program truly prioritizes the welfare of the Papuan people so that Papua continues to advance, prosper, and stand strong in line with the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045,” said Ribka Haluk.
