Jayapura, October 9, 2025 — Chairman of the Papua Provincial Chapter of the National Solidarity Association (PAN 08 Indonesia), Meki W. Raiwaki, extended his congratulations to Governor of Papua Matius D. Fakhiri and Deputy Governor Aryoko Rumaropen on their inauguration by President Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta.
In his statement, Meki expressed hope that the leadership of Fakhiri and Rumaropen would embrace all elements of society, particularly youth and community organizations across Papua, to collaborate in realizing the province’s development vision and mission for the next five years.
“We hope the governor and deputy governor can work together with all organizations to foster collaboration and partnership in building Papua,” he said.
Meki also encouraged community organizations in Papua to channel their aspirations through public dialogue forums. He emphasized that constructive ideas and input from citizens and the younger generation are vital to maintaining Papua as an integral part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and to strengthening the economic system both at the organizational and community levels.
He stressed that the leadership of the governor represents all Papuans — not just a specific group — without distinction of ethnicity, race, religion, or social background.
“The governor inaugurated today is not leading a campaign team or a certain group, but all the people of Papua. Therefore, let us unite and support his leadership together with the deputy governor,” Meki stated.
Concluding his remarks, Meki delivered a message of unity across religions:
“God bless, shalom, assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, om swastiastu, namo buddhaya,” he said.
