Paniai, Central Papua – Personnel of the Cartenz Peace Operation carried out a community engagement activity by purchasing local agricultural produce while interacting with women vendors along Enarotali Street, East Paniai District, Paniai Regency, on Saturday (September 27, 2025) from 8:00 a.m. until completion. The activity, led by First Inspector (Ipda) Syahrir Mahyudin, S.H., together with Police Brigadier (Bripda) Irgi Alamsyah, aimed to support the local economy and strengthen emotional bonds between security forces and the community.
During the activity, Cartenz Peace Operation personnel directly interacted with the women vendors by buying fresh produce on site. Beyond showing care for small-scale traders, the initiative also served as a way to foster closer ties and build harmonious communication with the community. Warm smiles and greetings from the women vendors reflected their appreciation for the attention received.
Chief of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that the initiative was more than a casual interaction—it was a concrete effort to improve local welfare.
“We are here not only to safeguard security but also to encourage community economic growth. By purchasing directly from local vendors, we want to demonstrate that the police are close to the people and care about their well-being,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal.
Deputy Chief of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Police Commissioner (Kombes Pol.) Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., added that a humanistic approach will remain a priority in every activity.
“We believe that through simple acts of togetherness like this, strong relationships between security forces and the community can be built. The women vendors are an integral part of Paniai’s social and economic life. We hope today’s warmth becomes the foundation of mutual trust for a peaceful and prosperous Papua,” remarked Commissioner Adarma.
Through this friendly and approachable engagement, the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force reaffirmed its commitment to stand alongside the people of Papua, supporting the local economy while maintaining peace and security in the Land of Cenderawasih.
