Jayapura – Papua Coffee Festival (Feskop) 2025 was officially closed by the Acting Regional Secretary (Pj Sekda) of Papua Province, Suzana Wanggai, at the Ex Terminal of PTC Entrop, South Jayapura District, Jayapura City.
In her speech, Suzana Wanggai emphasized that the implementation of Feskop this year shows the stronger collective awareness of the Papuan people that coffee is not just a commodity, but a regional strategic asset that should be developed seriously.
“Papuan coffee is a heritage of natural and cultural wealth that reflects the perseverance, quality, and competitiveness of Papuan children, both at the national and international levels,” said Suzana.
He also invited all the people, business people, and the young generation of Papua to maintain the spirit of collaboration, strengthen sustainability, and grow pride in Papuan coffee. According to him, the success of Feskop 2025 is a real proof that local superior products have great potential to compete and contribute to the regional economy.
Papua Coffee Festival 2025 which has been going on since September 17 presents various series of activities, ranging from the exhibition of superior coffee products from various regions of Papua, talk shows with industry players, to cultural arts performances that enrich the atmosphere. This event becomes an important forum to bring together farmers, MSMEs, and consumers in one ecosystem that supports each other.
With the end of Feskop 2025, it is hoped that the economic growth of the Papuan people, especially the coffee sector, can increase. The Papua Provincial Government emphasized its commitment to continue encouraging innovation, strengthening the capacity of farmers, and promoting Papuan coffee in the international arena.
