INTAN JAYA, CENTRAL PAPUA — The Peace Operation Cartenz Task Force demonstrated its community-focused approach by conducting a friendly interaction with residents at the New Sugapa Market, Intan Jaya Regency, on Tuesday (16/9/2025).

Personnel involved in the activity included Second Inspector Moh. Arsyad Hafid Affandy, S.Psi., and First Brigadiers Alex Logo and Randa.

The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between security forces and the community through persuasive and familial approaches. The presence of Task Force personnel amidst the market’s daily activities is intended to create a sense of security and strengthen the emotional bonds between officers and citizens.

Beyond direct interaction with vendors and market visitors, the Task Force also provided brief public education on the importance of maintaining public order, fostering a peaceful environment, and enhancing mutual trust between the community and security apparatus.

The activity was met with a positive reception from local residents, who expressed their appreciation for the Peace Operation Cartenz Task Force’s visit in a joyful and welcoming atmosphere.

Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., the Head of Peace Operation Cartenz, stated that such humanitarian activities are a core part of the Task Force’s community engagement strategy.

“We want the community to feel that we are present not only to uphold the law but also to be friends who are ready to listen, help, and maintain shared security. Our presence in the market is a form of our commitment to always be close to the citizens,” said Brigadier General Faizal.

We invite all citizens to work together to safeguard peace and not be provoked by misleading issues,” stressed Chief Commissioner Adarma.

The Peace Operation Cartenz Task Force reaffirmed its commitment to continue carrying out similar activities across various regions. This ensures that the mission of maintaining security and peace in Papua goes hand-in-hand with efforts to build a sense of togetherness between security forces and the community.
