Jayapura – Deputy Chief of the Papua Regional Police, Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., led the roll call for the Forensic Laboratory Division (Bid Labfor) of the Papua Regional Police, held in the lobby of the Bid Labfor Office, Papua Regional Police Headquarters, in Jayapura City on Wednesday (September 10, 2025).
The roll call was attended by the Head of the Forensic Laboratory Division, AKBP Dr. I Gede Suhartawan, S.Si., M.Si., along with a joint group of officers, non-commissioned officers, and civil servants.
In his address, the Deputy Chief stated that the regular Wednesday roll call serves as a means to directly engage with personnel while strengthening the relationship between leadership and members.
He emphasized that although Bid Labfor is a relatively new division, it plays a crucial role in supporting police work, especially as a key part of crime scene investigations.
“Among all the Regional Police Headquarters in Indonesia, only 10 have a Forensic Laboratory Division, and Papua Regional Police is one of them. This is a source of pride that must be maintained with high dedication and loyalty,” stressed the Deputy Chief.
Brigadier General Faizal also encouraged personnel to continue developing their competencies, not only through official police education but also by pursuing additional education outside of the Police institution.
“The spirit of learning must always be nurtured so that our credibility and capabilities continue to grow,” he said.
With direct guidance from the Deputy Chief of Papua Regional Police, it is hoped that Bid Labfor personnel will be increasingly motivated to improve their skills and work with full dedication.
The presence of the Papua Regional Police’s Forensic Laboratory Division is not only a matter of institutional pride but also a tangible proof that the National Police is supported by professional resources, ready to provide the best services to the public and uphold law enforcement that is transparent and just.
