Puncak Jaya – In an effort to strengthen ties with the community while also enhancing internal solidarity, female police officers (Polwan) from Operation Peace Cartenz carried out a humanitarian activity at the ODC Enforcement Post, Puncak Jaya Sector, on Wednesday (September 10, 2025) at 10:00 a.m. local time.
The activity involved First Police Inspector (Ipda) Dr. Shintia Novotna Katoda, M.Kes., Head Officer of the Health Sub-task Force under Operation Peace Cartenz Operational Support, together with Police Brigadier (Bripka) Ita Somboalo from the Operation Peace Cartenz Public Relations Task Force.
Their presence not only provided health support and communication but also brought a sense of warmth that fostered togetherness.
Chief of Operation Peace Cartenz, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized the significant role of female officers in building closer interactions with both the community and fellow personnel in the field.
“Female officers bring a human touch that helps establish trust and a sense of security. Their role is vital as a bridge in creating effective communication,” he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief of Operation Peace Cartenz, Police Commissioner (Kombes) Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., highlighted that the presence of female officers also provides a fresh boost of motivation for personnel on duty.
“The positive energy they bring—whether through health services, communication, or social interaction—serves as a source of encouragement for the team. This greatly helps amidst the challenges of duty in Papua,” he explained.
Through this activity, Operation Peace Cartenz hopes to further strengthen synergy between security forces and the community. The human touch demonstrated by female officers in Puncak Jaya is expected to enhance public trust, foster solidarity, and support ongoing efforts to maintain security and public order in Papua.
