Puncak Jaya, Papua — A warm and heartfelt moment unfolded on Monday at 09:00 WIT when personnel of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 carried out a humanitarian activity by playing football with children in Gurage Village, Puncak Jaya Regency, Papua. This activity aimed to strengthen the relationship between security forces and the local community, especially children as the nation’s future generation, in an atmosphere of love, peace, and joy, Monday (September 8, 2025).
The personnel involved in the activity were Brigpol Rudi, Briptu Yusuf, Bripda Robet, Bripda Khaidir, and Bripda Febrian from the Operational Task Force of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025. This activity served not only as entertainment but also as an educational effort to instill values of nationalism and love for the homeland.
Warmth in the Highlands of Papua
The joy of Gurage’s children was clearly visible as the personnel arrived and invited them to play football in the village field. Laughter and smiles lit up the children’s faces as they warmly welcomed the presence of the officers. The presence of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 personnel symbolizes that peace can grow from simple actions carried out with sincerity.
Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that this activity is part of the humanistic approach strategy continuously promoted in Operation Peace Cartenz 2025.
“This moment is a true reflection of how Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 strives to bring harmony, build trust, and strengthen the bond between the security forces and the community to create a safe, peaceful, and hopeful Papua,” said Brigjen Pol Faizal Ramadhani.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Operation, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., also expressed appreciation for the children’s enthusiasm toward the presence of personnel in Gurage Village.
“The children welcomed them with joy, while the personnel showed sincere attention — a clear sign that peace is built through warm-hearted relationships,” said Kombes Pol Adarma Sinaga.
Such activities are a tangible form of the Indonesian National Police’s transformation, prioritizing dialogical and humanistic approaches in Papua. In addition to maintaining security, personnel are also expected to become friends and protectors that the community can rely on in various situations.
