Timika — A staff member of the Public Relations and Protocol Division of the Mimika Regional Government, identified as Kasman, was found dead in his boarding room located on Jalan Serui Mekar, connecting to Jalan Pendidikan, on Saturday (September 6) around 12:00 WIT.
The deceased was first discovered by a relative after he had not been seen leaving the house or making contact for two days. Upon checking the room, the relative found Kasman lying face down on the bed, already lifeless.
“He complained about high blood pressure on Wednesday. I gave him some medicine, and after that, I never heard from him again,” said one of his relatives.
Security personnel from Mimika Police Resort and Mimika Baru Police Sector arrived at the scene to secure the area, while the Inavis Team of Mimika Police conducted a crime scene investigation to determine the cause of death.
