Mimika – A warm and friendly atmosphere filled Mware Village, East Mimika District, Mimika Regency, on Tuesday afternoon (September 2). The presence of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz was welcomed with enthusiasm by the local community through a simple yet meaningful gathering.
Starting at 5:30 p.m. local time, task force personnel mingled with residents, especially children. They shared light snacks, engaged in friendly conversations, and posed for photos together. The cheerful moments brought joy and strengthened the sense of brotherhood between the security forces and the community.
Residents of Mware warmly embraced the visit, which not only created a more intimate atmosphere but also built greater trust in the security forces.
The activity was led by the Head of Public Relation of Peace Cartenz Task Force, Police First Inspector (Iptu) I Gde Pradana Sthirabudhi, S.Ds., along with two personnel, Police Brigadier (Bripda) Alfesa Hafiz Bagaskara and Police Brigadier (Bripda) Irgi Alamsyah.
The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized the importance of persuasive approaches in maintaining strong relations with the people of Papua.
“We want to always be present among the community, not only in security duties, but also through simple activities that bring smiles and comfort. The task force must be a friend to the people,” he stated.
His remarks highlighted that the presence of security forces in Papua goes beyond law enforcement, carrying a message of care, compassion, and togetherness.
In line with this, Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stressed the significance of a humanitarian approach in all activities of the task force.
“A humanist approach is the key to creating peace and mutual trust between the security forces and the community. Through activities like this, we want to show that our presence is not only about maintaining security, but also about sharing compassion and attention,” he explained.
This message underscores the task force’s effort to break down barriers with the community, to be present as part of the extended family, and to build emotional closeness that strengthens the bonds of brotherhood.
