Jayapura – Religious leader and board member of the Central Christian University Papua and La Pago, Reverend Anton Kogoya, has called on the people of Papua to maintain unity and security following the recent democratic process.
In his statement, Reverend Kogoya emphasized that all decisions made by the Indonesian National Election Commission (KPNI) are the result of a collective process that must be respected by all citizens.
“Whatever has been decided is a shared outcome, and we must all accept it sincerely. As church members and Papuan citizens, it is our duty to safeguard security wherever we are,” he stated.
He further stressed that stability and security are key to ensuring development in Papua, particularly in the areas of education, public welfare, and church services.
“Development in Papua can only move forward if security is maintained. Therefore, all citizens must accept the results with a calm mind and an open heart for the sake of our shared progress,” Reverend Kogoya added.
In conclusion, Reverend Anton Kogoya urged all Papuans to continue prioritizing unity, solidarity, and the advancement of Papua.
