Jayapura, Papua – The Jayapura City Branch of Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) has called on Muslims to maintain interfaith harmony amid rising social and political issues.
PCNU Jayapura Chairman H. M. Saiful, S.Ag., M.Pd., emphasized the importance of mutual respect and urged the public not to be swayed by provocations that could disrupt unity.
“Let us entrust all emerging issues to the authorities. Our duty as people of faith is to preserve togetherness, harmony, and peaceful coexistence,” Saiful said in his public statement.
He also encouraged Muslims in Jayapura to continue practicing tolerance and fostering good relations with people of other religions.
“Social harmony is the key to safeguarding national unity. Let us respect one another to build a peaceful society,” he added.
