Jayapura – A Papua community leader, Thimotius Marani, expressed high appreciation for the performance of the Peace Cartenz Operation Task Force, which continues to maintain security stability in the Land of Cenderawasih-Papua. He emphasized that the law enforcement measures carried out by the Peace Cartenz Operation reflect the state’s real presence in protecting the people from the threats posed by armed criminal groups (KKB).
“We highly appreciate the duties entrusted by the National Police to the Peace Cartenz Task Force. They have worked optimally in enforcing the law against armed criminal groups in Papua,” said Thimotius on Saturday (August 23, 2025).
According to Thimotius, the presence of the Peace Cartenz Task Force brings hope to the people of Papua, who have long desired a safe and peaceful environment. He noted that the violent acts of the armed groups only bring harm to the Papuan people.
“The security disturbances from these groups not only threaten security forces but also civilians who just want to live peacefully. That is why we fully support the firm actions of the Peace Cartenz Task Force,” he stressed.
Thimotius also called on all elements of Papuan society not to be provoked by narratives spread by the armed groups. He underlined that public support is essential for security forces to work more effectively in upholding the law.
“We urge all communities to unite, show support, and not be influenced by the propaganda of these armed groups. Papua needs peace, not conflict,” he added.
In closing, Thimotius offered prayers that every step taken by the Peace Cartenz Task Force would be blessed by God. He expressed optimism that through hard work and collective prayers, Papua would become a land of peace and prosperity.
“May every duty carried out by the Peace Cartenz Task Force be blessed by God. We all stand with them in safeguarding the peace of Papua,” he concluded.
