Jayapura – Ondofolo Sentani, Yanto Eluay, expressed strong support for the Indonesian National Police, particularly Satgas Operasi Damai Cartenz, in addressing the actions of Armed Criminal Groups (KKB) in Papua. The support aims to maintain public safety and order across the region.
“We, all traditional leaders and the people of Papua, are responsible for ensuring our land remains safe and peaceful. Every action carried out by the state through Satgas Ops Damai Cartenz is intended to realize a secure and orderly Papua,” Yanto Eluay stated in Jayapura on Monday (18/8).
He emphasized that law enforcement against those involved in criminal acts, shootings, or disturbances in mountainous regions and other areas of Papua deserves recognition.
“All actions that disrupt security must be stopped. We highly appreciate the Indonesian National Police for their commitment to maintaining order,” he added.
Yanto also called on all Papuan communities to unite in supporting law enforcement efforts by the police through Satgas Ops Damai Cartenz. According to him, safety and order are essential for development and the well-being of Papua’s people.
“Let us safeguard Papua to remain safe and peaceful, so development can proceed smoothly and the people can enjoy its benefits,” Yanto concluded.
