Mamberamo Raya — The Mamberamo Raya Regency Government held a final rehearsal ahead of the 80th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at Eselon Field, Burmeso, on Saturday (Aug 16). The event went smoothly and in an orderly manner, led directly by Regent Roby Wilson Rumansara.
On the occasion, Regent Roby called on all levels of society to embrace the spirit of unity. He emphasized that Independence Day is more than just a ceremony—it is a symbol of national togetherness. “This ceremony is not just a formality. It is a symbol of our nation’s unity. Let us celebrate it with spirit here in Mamberamo Raya,” he said.
The rehearsal was attended by regional officials, civil servants, students, and the Indonesian Heritage Flag Hoisting Troop (Paskibraka). Participants showed great enthusiasm, especially the Paskibraka members who trained with discipline to perform their best on Independence Day.
Regent Roby was accompanied by Mamberamo Raya DPRK Deputy Speaker I, Dony Pateh, and Deputy Regent Keven Totouw. Their presence highlighted the local government’s commitment to the success of the Independence Day ceremony.
The Independence Day commemoration on August 17 will be held in two sessions: the morning flag-raising ceremony led by Regent Roby, and the afternoon flag-lowering ceremony led by Deputy Regent Keven Totouw.
