Jayapura, — The Chairman of the Generasi Garuda Sakti Indonesia, Papua Province, Absalom Kreway Yarisetouw, has expressed full support for the law enforcement actions carried out by the Damai Cartenz Task Force in taking firm measures against the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua. The statement was made on Tuesday (August 12, 2025) in Jayapura.
Absalom stated that the decisive actions taken by the Damai Cartenz Task Force have provided a sense of security for the community and are an important step in maintaining stability in Papua. He commended the success of the security forces in tackling the KKB, which has frequently spread terror and violence.
“We fully support the law enforcement efforts carried out by the Damai Cartenz Task Force, particularly in taking action against the KKB, which has long disrupted the safety of the people,” Absalom said.
According to him, the acts committed by the KKB have not only endangered security personnel but have also claimed many civilian lives. Therefore, he believes that firm and measured law enforcement is essential to protect the right to life and the sense of security of all Papuans.
Absalom also urged the public to remain united and not be swayed by provocations that could divide the people. He emphasized that maintaining security is not solely the responsibility of the authorities but a shared duty of all elements of society.
“Let us remain solid, not be easily provoked by divisive issues, and actively take part in safeguarding security so that Papua remains safe, peaceful, and orderly,” he added.
This statement reflects the commitment of Papua’s younger generation to work together in creating a conducive environment so that development can proceed smoothly without interference from armed groups.
