Sarmi — On Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 08:00 AM WIT, the Ops Damai Cartenz Public Relations Task Force, stationed at the Jayapura Post, conducted a patrol and distributed food and milk to children in Kampung Ansudu, East Coast District, Sarmi Regency. The activity was led directly by Ipda Syahrir Mahyuddin and took place in a warm atmosphere with positive interactions between the task force members and local residents.
During the visit, the personnel handed out snack packages to children, engaged in relaxed conversations, and provided assistance to elderly residents undergoing health examinations. The Head of Ops Damai Cartenz, Brigadier General Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, stated that this activity is part of a humanitarian approach by law enforcement officers towards the community, especially the youth of Papua.
“Children are the future of the nation and our hope moving forward. Approaches like this are important to foster confidence and emotional closeness between the police and the community,” he said.
Additionally, the Public Relations Officer of Ops Damai Cartenz, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, emphasized that this activity aims to build harmonious relationships through direct interaction. He added that this effort is part of building public trust and presenting a friendly and caring police face towards the community, especially children and the elderly.
The activity lasted until midday and received an enthusiastic response from the residents of Kampung Ansudu, who felt helped and happy with the presence of the task force among them.
