SARMI — On Saturday (August 2, 2025) at 8:00 AM WIT, the Public Relations Task Force of Ops Damai Cartenz at the Jayapura Post conducted a community outreach activity by distributing food and milk to children in Kampung Ansudu, East Coast District, Sarmi Regency.
The activity was led directly by Ipda Syahrir Mahyuddin, S.H., and took place in a warm and positive atmosphere, fostering good interaction between the personnel and local residents.
During the visit, the task force personnel handed out snack packages to children, engaged in casual conversations, and provided assistance to elderly residents undergoing health check-ups.
The Head of Ops Damai Cartenz, Brigjen Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., who was also present along with the Deputy Ops Damai Cartenz, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that this visit exemplifies the humanistic approach taken by law enforcement officers, especially toward the youth of Papua.
“Children are the future of the nation and our hope moving forward. Approaches like this are important to foster confidence and emotional closeness between police and the community, particularly children,” he said.
The Public Relations Officer of Ops Damai Cartenz, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., added that the purpose of this activity was to build harmonious relations between the community and the police through direct interaction.
“This kind of visit is part of Ops Damai Cartenz’s effort to build public trust and present a police image that is closer, friendlier, and more caring toward the community, especially children and the elderly,” he explained.
The activity, which lasted until the afternoon, was warmly received by the residents of Kampung Ansudu, who expressed happiness and felt helped by the presence of the task force among them.
