SARMI — The Public Relations Task Force of Ops Damai Cartenz at the Jayapura Post conducted a community visit by distributing food and milk to children in Kampung Ansudu, East Coast District, Sarmi Regency, on Saturday (August 2, 2025) at 08:00 WIT.
The visit was led directly by Ipda Syahrir Mahyuddin, S.H., and took place with warmth and positive interaction with the residents.
During the visit, the task force personnel distributed snack packages to children, held casual conversations, and provided assistance to elderly residents who were undergoing health check-ups.
The Head of Ops Damai Cartenz, Brigjen Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., who was also present along with the Deputy Ops Damai Cartenz, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that this visit exemplifies the humanistic approach taken by law enforcement officers, especially toward the youth of Papua.
“Children are the future of the nation. They are our hope moving forward. Therefore, such humanistic approaches are important to foster confidence and emotional closeness between police officers and children,” Brigjen Faizal said.
The Public Relations Officer of Ops Damai Cartenz, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., added that the purpose of this visit was to create harmonious relations between the community and the police institution, particularly through direct interaction within the community.
“Visits like this are part of Ops Damai Cartenz’s efforts to build public trust and present a police face that is closer, friendlier, and caring toward the community, especially children and the elderly,” said Kombes Yusuf.
The activity, which lasted until this afternoon, was warmly received by the residents of Kampung Ansudu, who felt happy and helped by the presence of the task force among them.
