Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Visits Apom Village, Distributes Aid to Locals and School Children

Pegunungan Bintang, Papua — As part of efforts to strengthen community ties and support local welfare in Papua’s highland areas, the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 conducted a visit to Apom Village, Kiwirok District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency, on Friday (August 1, 2025).

Led by IPDA Munawar, the activity involved 12 personnel from the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, accompanied by four officers from the Kiwirok Police Sector. During the visit, the team distributed agricultural seed aid to local residents and school supplies for children in the village.

The aid was received directly by the Head of Apom Village, Mr. Selkius Yamhim, who expressed his gratitude for the care and attention shown by the security personnel toward communities in remote areas, especially regarding the education of younger generations.

The visit was marked by a warm and friendly atmosphere. In addition to distributing aid, the task force members also took the time to engage in open dialogue with local residents to hear their aspirations and understand their needs firsthand.

The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Head of Operation, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that this initiative reflects the task force’s humanist approach, which serves as a foundation for building sustainable peace in Papua’s highlands.

“Through visits like this, we aim to strengthen our bond with the community. Beyond maintaining security, we are committed to delivering tangible benefits, particularly in agriculture and education,” said Brigadier General Faizal.

Echoing this, the Head of Public Relations for Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., highlighted that such social activities have long-term impacts in fostering trust between the community and law enforcement.

“We want to show that security forces are here as partners, not as something to be feared. Our strategy focuses on open communication and dialogue so that communities feel safe and supported,” explained Chief Commissioner Yusuf.

Through ongoing humanitarian efforts, Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 hopes to build stronger social bonds, promote local development, and establish a lasting atmosphere of peace in Papua—especially in remote regions like Apom Village.
