Swedia — The proud achievement of Papua Football Academy (PFA) in the international event of Gothia Cup 2025 which is taking place in Sweden. One of the three representatives of Indonesia showed extraordinary dominance in the group stage by winning three from three matches, scoring a total of 21 goals without conceding.
This impressive performance confirms the quality and potential of the young Papuan players who are members of the football academy built by the Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation. Gothia Cup, known as “The World Cup of Youth Football”, becomes a place of proof for young talents from all over the world. This year, Indonesia sent three representatives, namely Papua Football Academy, SDN 01 Srengseng Jakart (girls team), and Persib Cimahi U-13 Academy.
Rushing to the Play-off A round (top 32), PFA will face a tough challenge from the Brazilian representative, Panorama Sport Club, who also performed perfectly in the group phase with three wins and 8 goals without conceding. This duel is predicted to be fierce, considering that both teams have never conceded and have a solid attacking style of play.
