The Human Touch of the Damai Cartenz Task Force in Sinak: A True Reflection of Police Presence Among the People

Puncak, Central Papua — The Damai Cartenz Task Force continues to strengthen its bond with the community in Papua. On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, personnel from the Sinak Sector conducted a community patrol across several residential areas in Sinak District, Puncak Regency.

Led by Sector Commander Ipda Rizki, the patrol was more than just a routine operation. The officers in uniform were greeted with warm smiles and friendly exchanges, reflecting the strong relationship that has been built between the police and local residents.

The Head of Damai Cartenz Operations, Brig. Gen. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Head of Operations, Sr. Comm. Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that community patrols are a strategic approach to maintaining security stability in conflict-prone areas.

“The police are present not only to uphold the law but also to ensure that the community feels safe and protected from potential threats posed by armed criminal groups (KKB). A human-centered approach is the key,” Brig. Gen. Faizal emphasized.

Echoing that sentiment, the Head of Public Relations for the Damai Cartenz Task Force, Sr. Comm. Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., encouraged residents to continue nurturing the positive relationship that has been established.

“Security is a shared responsibility. The harmony between the community and law enforcement must be maintained to ensure lasting peace,” he stated.

This community patrol serves as a clear example that safety and security are not built solely through force. Consistent presence, open communication, and sincere service form the strong foundation for fostering peace in Papua.
