Central Papua — In an effort to strengthen a humane approach and foster positive emotional connections with the community, personnel of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 carried out social activities in two different regions, namely Paniai Regency and Intan Jaya Regency, on Sunday (13/7/2025). The activities took place at the Brimob Sector Paniai Command Post, led by Bripda Rizki Zulyansyah and Bharada Yudi Setiadi. The focus was on direct interaction with children around the post, including playing together, sharing snacks, and providing a space for children to express themselves and experience joy alongside security personnel.
The atmosphere was filled with warmth and laughter, illustrating the strong emotional bond between the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 and the community. The children appeared very enthusiastic and happy to play and learn alongside the personnel of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025.
“Children are the future of Papua. Seeing them smile and feel safe with the security personnel is a source of great happiness for us,” said Bripda Rizki.
Meanwhile, in the Intan Jaya Sector, social activities were also carried out by the personnel led by Bripka Sudomo, who provided food aid (bama) to community members experiencing grief. This activity was a manifestation of empathy and solidarity from the authorities towards the community during their time of sorrow, as well as a form of the state’s presence amid a sensitive social situation.
Commander of Damai Cartenz, Brigadier General Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by the Deputy Commander of Damai Cartenz, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that such activities are an integral part of the humane approach adopted in implementing Operation Damai Cartenz.
“We are not only here for security but also to touch the hearts of the people. We want to create a sense of safety and closeness. This is the essence of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025—to inspire hope and build peace,” Brigadier General Faizal emphasized.
Furthermore, the Head of Public Relations of the Damai Cartenz Operation, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that humane activities are an effective means to strengthen social communication between the authorities and the community.
“Through activities like this, we want to show that security personnel are part of the community. No distance, no barriers. We are present with them, in good times and bad,” concluded Kombes Yusuf.
The activities carried out by the Damai Cartenz Task Force reaffirm that peace and security in Papua are not only built through weapons and patrols but also through acts of humanity, children’s smiles, and solidarity with the community.
