Mimika, Central Papua – In an effort to strengthen the relationship between security forces and the community, the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz visited residents and children on Freeport Lama Street, Mimika Baru District, Mimika Regency, on Wednesday (7/9/2025) at 16.00 WIT.
In the visit, personnel Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz were present to mingle with the community, especially children, by sharing snacks, playing kites, playing football, and holding a warm conversation.
Head of Operation Peace Cartenz, Brigadier General Police Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., who was also present with Deputy Head of Operation Peace Cartenz Chief Conmmissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that Operation Peace Cartenz not only focuses on law enforcement and maintaining regional security, but also puts forward a humanistic approach as part of the strategy to create sustainable peace in Papua.
“Operation Peace Cartenz is present not only to maintain security stability, but also to build a strong emotional relationship with the community. The community is the main partner in creating a peaceful and prosperous Papua,” said Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani.
Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations Operation Peace Cartenz Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., added that activities like this will continue to be carried out routinely in various areas of Operation Peace Cartenz.
“We want to bridge good communication between the apparatus and the community. With humanitarian activities like this, we hope the public feels closer and has high trust in the security forces in maintaining security and order together,” said Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo.
The visit received a positive response from local residents. The enthusiasm of the children and the community involved reflects the increasing closeness between the National Police and the community. The familiar and cheerful atmosphere in this activity is considered to be able to strengthen the sense of togetherness and reduce the distance between the officers and the Papuan people.
