Humanitarian Touch by Peace Cartenz Operation Task Force Brings Joy to Children in Puncak Jaya

Puncak Jaya, Papua – A warm and joyful atmosphere enveloped Wuyuneri District, Puncak Jaya Regency, as personnel from the Public Relations Task Force of the Peace Cartenz Operation visited local children on Tuesday (July 8, 2025) at around 10:00 Eastern Indonesia Time (WIT).

The arrival of two task force members, Police Officer Second Class Eroza and Police Officer Second Class Rafly, was met with cheerful smiles and enthusiasm from the children. During this humanitarian activity, the officers distributed school necessities such as shoes, played with the children, and delivered messages of peace and unity in a friendly and compassionate manner.

This initiative is part of the broader strategy of the Peace Cartenz Operation to strengthen emotional bonds between law enforcement officers and the community, especially among the younger generation in Papua. This human-centered approach is considered effective in fostering a sense of security, trust, and social cohesion.

The Head of the Peace Cartenz Operation, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that such humanitarian programs will continue to be implemented as part of the National Police’s commitment to establishing long-lasting peace in Papua. He was accompanied by the Deputy Head of the Operation, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., and the Head of the Public Relations Task Force, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., who underlined that the initiative is a long-term effort to reach out to and nurture Papua’s younger generation.

Commissioner Yusuf stated that direct interaction with children is not merely a gesture of concern, but also a strategic move to instill positive values from an early age. According to him, young people are the cornerstone of a peaceful and hopeful future for Papua.

Through simple yet meaningful actions, the personnel greeted the children, engaged in play, and directly provided assistance to the local community. Everything was carried out with a persuasive and empathetic approach, ensuring that the police are seen not only as security forces but also as friends and protectors of the people.

This humanitarian activity, held on Tuesday morning, July 8, 2025, in Wuyuneri District, Puncak Jaya Regency, forms part of the regular outreach agenda of the Peace Cartenz Operation, which continues to focus on remote areas of Papua.

By prioritizing empathy and emotional connection, the Peace Cartenz Operation Task Force reaffirms its commitment to building a peaceful, united, and harmonious Papua through real actions felt directly by the community.
