The two suspects in this Stage II process are La Ode Sultan Zaldi Saim and Praedy Wanimbo, also known as Kenyam. Both individuals are implicated in the illegal ammunition transaction case that took place in Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, Highland Papua Province. Previously, they were held in the Papua Regional Police Detention Center.

Upon arrival in Wamena, the Stage II handover process was conducted, involving the formal transfer of the suspects and evidence to the Public Prosecutor at the Wamena District Attorney’s Office. The entire process proceeded smoothly and securely under strict security measures.
The two suspects were then placed in custody at the Jayawijaya Class IIB Correctional Facility to undergo further legal proceedings.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations for the Cartenz Peace Operation, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., confirmed that both suspects were members of the Indonesian National Police.
“These individuals are rogue police officers involved in activities that go against the principles and integrity of the institution. We will pursue this matter seriously and firmly against anyone whose actions conflict with the interests of the Republic of Indonesia,” asserted Commissioner Yusuf.
This Stage II handover represents a firm commitment by law enforcement authorities to complete the investigation process and take strict action against any legal violations, including those committed by individuals within their own ranks.
