Stabbing Victim in Koperapoka Covered by BPJS Employment, Free Treatment Without Limits

MIMIKA – BPJS Employment Papua Mimika has shown its concern for the stabbing victim in Koperapoka, who is currently being treated at Mimika Regional Hospital (RSUD Mimika). On Wednesday, 3 July 2025, the BPJS Employment team visited the victim to ensure their rights as a participant of the Work Accident Insurance (JKK) program are fulfilled.

Head of BPJS Employment Papua Mimika, Rudyanto Panjaitan, explained that the victim is an active participant in the JKK and Death Insurance (JKM) programs and was injured while working as a street vendor.

“This visit is our commitment to providing social security protection for workers, while also ensuring that medical services are provided according to regulations,” Rudy said.

He emphasized that RSUD Mimika is one of BPJS Employment’s Work Accident Service Centers (PLKK), which guarantees unlimited, fully covered treatment until the participant is declared recovered.

“All medical expenses are fully covered by BPJS Employment based on medical needs,” he explained.

Rudy also stressed the importance of quality service to maintain public trust. “We want to make sure that services, both at branch offices and partner hospitals, run optimally,” he concluded.
