Jayawijaya, Papua Pegunungan – Personnel from Operation Peace Cartenz conducted a joint security patrol and humanitarian outreach in Walesi Village, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Pegunungan Province. The activity was led by First Inspector Muhammad Krisna Dirgantara.
During the visit, members of the Peace Cartenz Task Force carried out comprehensive security observations while also engaging warmly with local residents and children. This human-centered approach is a strategic step aimed at fostering a sense of safety, strengthening community ties, and building mutual trust.
In addition to the patrol, the task force also provided free healthcare services to the community. The medical assistance was warmly welcomed by residents and served as a tangible example of the state’s presence through Operation Peace Cartenz—not only ensuring security but also caring for the well-being of communities in the highlands.
Commander of Operation Peace Cartenz, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Commander Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that the activities in the Muslim community of Walesi exemplify the integration of security forces with the people.
“We are not just here to maintain security, but also to build strong relationships with the community. Through persuasive approaches and humanitarian initiatives, we want the public to feel safe, cared for, and supported in various aspects of life,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal.
Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations for Operation Peace Cartenz, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that public trust is the key to long-term stability.
