Jakarta, KBRN – Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk emphasized the importance of accelerating the disbursement of the Special Autonomy (Otsus) Funds and Infrastructure Enhancement Funds (DTI) in Papua. She reminded regional leaders across the region to immediately complete the fund distribution process to support community welfare.
During a meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ribka stated that if by the third quarter of this year the funds have not yet been disbursed, she will personally visit the regions to ensure the process is underway. She underscored that this acceleration aligns with the government’s commitment to boost economic growth and social development in Papua, under President Prabowo Subianto’s leadership.
Ribka explained that the meeting discussed in detail the obstacles faced by regional governments in disbursing the funds. While some regions have shown progress and begun disbursing, others have yet to meet administrative requirements such as accountability reports and supporting documents.
She appreciated the regions that have moved quickly, but emphasized that delays are not caused by issues at the central government, but are the responsibility of local governments. Ribka also assured that if the problems persist, her team will ensure the process is expedited so that the funds can be utilized for the benefit of the Papuan communities.
