Jayawijaya, Central Papua — In the spirit of fostering closeness and concern for the community, the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force organized a humanitarian activity combined with the distribution of basic necessities in Lantipo Village, Wamena District, Jayawijaya Regency, on Sunday (June 29, 2025) in the late afternoon.
Led by Ipda Syahrir Mahyudin, S.H., the activity lasted until evening. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the personnel interacted directly with residents, engaged in dialogues, shared stories, and handed over basic food packages to community members in need. This effort is part of the initiative to build strong social relationships and demonstrate the police’s genuine concern for the local people’s needs.
The Head of the Peace Operation Cartenz, Brigjen Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by the Deputy Commander of the Peace Cartenz Operation, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum, emphasized the importance of a humanitarian approach in supporting the success of security operations in Papua.
“We are present among the people not only to maintain security but also to build strong social bonds. Through activities like this, the police want to convey that we are friends of the people, partners in maintaining peace,” Brigjen Pol. Faizal stated.
Residents of Lantipo Village enthusiastically welcomed the police personnel’s presence. In addition to sharing basic food packages, the event also served as a platform to deliver persuasive messages on community safety (kamtibmas) and to strengthen public trust in the presence of the state.
Public Relations Task Force of the Peace Operation Cartenz, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., called on the community to stay united and maintain peace amid current dynamics.
“We urge all residents, especially in the mountainous regions of Papua, to stay solid, avoid provocation, and work together to preserve peace. The police will continue to be present through a humane approach that touches people’s hearts,” said Kombes Pol. Yusuf.
This activity is part of the ongoing agenda of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force to realize a safe, peaceful, and hopeful Papua—through approaches that prioritize humanitarian values and sincere service.
