Caring for the Community, Peace Operation Task Force Cartenz Distributes Basic Necessities in Wamena

Jayawijaya, Papua — In an effort to foster closeness and demonstrate care, the Peace Operation Task Force Cartenz held a humanitarian activity in Lantipo Village, Wamena, on Sunday afternoon (June 29, 2025). During this event, they engaged directly with residents, shared stories, and handed over basic food packages to those in need.

Led by Ipda Syahrir Mahyudin, the activity was warm and friendly, lasting until the evening. The Head of the Peace Operation Cartenz, Brigjen Pol. Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized that a humane approach is crucial for the success of security operations in Papua. He also conveyed that police presence among the community is a tangible form of care and partnership in maintaining peace.

Residents of Lantipo Village welcomed the initiative enthusiastically. Besides distributing basic necessities, the event also served as a moment to deliver persuasive community safety messages (kamtibmas) and to strengthen public trust in the presence of the state.

Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, as the Public Relations Head of the Peace Operation, urged the community to stay united and maintain a peaceful atmosphere amid existing dynamics. He reaffirmed that the police will continue to be present through a humane approach that touches people’s hearts, for a safe and hopeful Papua.

This activity is part of the ongoing agenda of the Peace Operation Task Force Cartenz in realizing a peaceful, safe, and hopeful Papua through approaches that prioritize humanitarian values and sincere service.
