Timika, Central Papua — A touching and joyful moment unfolded at Santa Susana Orphanage as the personnel of the Public Relations Unit from Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 once again conducted a humanitarian visit on Friday (June 27, 2025). The visit was warmly welcomed and deeply appreciated by Magdalena Ema Nunang, the founder and head of the orphanage.
Magdalena expressed heartfelt gratitude for the continued care and attention shown by the Indonesian National Police personnel toward the children under her care.
“As the founder and manager of this orphanage, I sincerely thank God for today’s visit from Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025. Their presence has brought incredible joy to our children. I am truly moved and proud to witness such genuine concern,” she said.
She noted that this was not the first time the Task Force had visited the orphanage. Their repeated presence, she said, demonstrates that law enforcement officers are not only committed to security operations but also to upholding humanitarian values for marginalized communities.
“This is the second time Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz has come to our orphanage, and each visit proves that people like us—ordinary and small in society—are not forgotten. The children feel seen, valued, and loved,” Magdalena said emotionally.
With humility, Magdalena shared that although the orphanage had no souvenirs or material gifts to offer in return, their sincere prayers were the greatest gift they could give.
“We have no gifts to give, but we offer our most sincere prayers. May all members of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 be blessed with safety, success, and smooth duties as they protect peace in Papua,” she added. Magdalena’s appreciation reflects the meaningful impact of the humanist approach embraced by the Task Force. For communities like orphanages, where warmth and care are essential, such gestures from the police are not only meaningful but deeply touching.
