Jayawijaya — In the midst of the growing security dynamics in the mountainous region of Papua, the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz-2025 shows that the humanitarian approach can be an effective bridge to build public trust. This is reflected in the integrated activities carried out in Pugima District, Jayawijaya Regency, on Monday (6/23), where Task Force personnel not only patrolled, but also presented social and health services directly to residents.
The activity carried out by the Task Force action, Task Force asistence and Public Relations Task Force is part of the strategy to strengthen unity and brotherhood between residents and personnel of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, as well as providing health services in areas that were previously prone to security disturbances, the Task Force Peace Cartenz emphasized that the state is present not only through law enforcement, but also through empathy and direct services in the community.
The people of Pugima District warmly welcome the presence of the officers. The atmosphere full of hospitality can be seen when the officers sit with the residents, listen to complaints, as well as provide concrete solutions to basic needs, such as access to health services that have been difficult to reach.
Head of Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, Brigadier General Police Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., assesses that stability in Papua cannot be built only with security forces, but must be through an approach that touches the social, cultural, and psychological aspects of the community.
“Reconciliation and social recovery can only happen if people feel involved and protected. We are here not only to take action, but also to hear and serve. This is the new face of Polri that is presented in Papua,” said Brigadier General Faizal.
Deputy Head of Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., also added that this activity is part of the strategy of restoring public trust, especially in areas that have experienced conflict or tension.
“We pick up the public’s trust by blending, greeting, and bringing service. This is an important step so that people no longer feel alone,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that long-term security will only be achieved if the apparatus and citizens walk together.
“Our presence in Pugima is not only about security. This is a long-term social investment. When children can laugh with the officers and their parents get health services, then peace is no longer just a discourse,” explained Yusuf.
This activity is considered to have a direct impact on the increasingly conducive kamtibmas conditions in Pugima District. Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz ensures that similar activities will continue to be carried out sustainably in various other districts, in order to expand the range of services and strengthen the foundation of peace in Papua.
