Humanitarian Patrol in Pugima: Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Strengthens Security and Community Bonds

Wamena — Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 continues to reinforce efforts in maintaining security while fostering close ties with local communities. On Monday (June 23, 2025), personnel from the task force conducted an integrated patrol and humanitarian outreach in Pugima District, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Pegunungan Province.

The activity included mobile patrols in key areas, direct engagement with residents, and the provision of free healthcare services — a clear demonstration of the state’s commitment to the welfare of people in remote regions.

The initiative received a warm welcome from the community, who expressed gratitude for the presence of security personnel that not only provide protection but also deliver essential services and build meaningful relationships with the people.

The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that this integrated patrol is part of a comprehensive approach to ensure peace and safety in Papua.

“This is a concrete manifestation of our presence — not only to enforce the law but to build harmonious relations with the community. We want residents to feel safe, heard, and served,” he stated.

Accompanied by the Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., he added that mapping the area also helps the task force better understand the needs and challenges faced by the people in remote districts.

Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., the Head of Public Relation for the task force, highlighted that the operation’s presence in the community goes beyond security.

“Our goal is to strengthen mutual trust. We invite all citizens to work together with us. This initiative is part of our commitment to building a peaceful and prosperous Papua. We come not only with security, but also with service and compassion,” he explained.

Similar activities will be carried out regularly in other regions, affirming the task force’s ongoing mission to create a peaceful, healthy, and prosperous Papua.
