Timika – Abd. Rachman Nurcholis, popularly known as Arnold Romsumbre, the Secretary of the Forum for Village Community Communication (FKMD) of Mimika Regency, expressed his profound appreciation for the efforts of the Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force in upholding law and order in Papua. His statement was made on Saturday (June 14) in Timika, Central Papua.
In his remarks, Romsumbre conveyed gratitude for the success of the Peace Cartenz operations covering three key regions: Papua Province, Central Papua, and the Papua Highlands.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to the Peace Cartenz Task Force for their active role in safeguarding the community, particularly in uncovering and apprehending members of the Armed Criminal Groups (KKB),” he said.
Romsumbre also expressed heartfelt condolences for the loss of lives in various incidents across Papua.
“We mourn for the victims. May the efforts of the Peace Cartenz Task Force receive blessings from Almighty God and gain the acceptance of all levels of society,” he added, while praying for the safety of all task force personnel.
As a community leader, Romsumbre urged the residents of Timika and the wider Central Papua community to maintain good relations with law enforcement officers.
“Let us unite to create a safe, just, and dignified public order. Law enforcement must be carried out in accordance with the regulations of the Republic of Indonesia,” he emphasized.
The Peace Cartenz 2025 operation is a Polri initiative aimed at enforcing the law against KKB and restoring security in Papua.
Support from community leaders like Arnold Romsumbre is expected to strengthen the synergy between the community and law enforcement in achieving peace in the land of Cenderawasih.
