Timika – Abd. Rachman Nurcholis, widely known as Arnold Romsumbre, the Secretary of the Village Community Communication Forum (FKMD) of Mimika Regency, expressed his profound appreciation for the performance of the Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force in maintaining security and enforcing the law in Papua. He delivered this statement on Saturday (June 14) in Timika, Central Papua.
Romsumbre highlighted the success of the Peace Cartenz Task Force in carrying out its mission across three major regions: Papua Province, Central Papua, and the Papua Highlands. He emphasized the task force’s significant role in ensuring public safety and addressing threats posed by the Armed Criminal Groups (KKB).
“We extend our deepest gratitude to the Peace Cartenz Task Force for their dedication to providing a sense of security for the community. Their firm actions against KKB are tangible steps toward achieving peace and stability in Papua,” he remarked.
He also conveyed his condolences to the victims who lost their lives in acts of violence across Papua. In his prayers, Romsumbre hoped that the efforts of the Peace Cartenz Task Force would be blessed by Almighty God and receive the full support of the local community.
“We mourn the loss of innocent lives. Let us come together to support efforts in law enforcement and security restoration,” he added.
In his appeal, Romsumbre encouraged the people of Mimika, especially those in Central Papua, to maintain good relations with law enforcement officers to foster a harmonious environment.
“I urge all residents to unite in preserving public order (Kamtibmas) that is based on justice and dignity. Let us work together to uphold the law in accordance with the regulations of the Republic of Indonesia,” he stated.
The Peace Cartenz 2025 operation is a police initiative aimed at firmly addressing the activities of KKB while restoring stability in Papua. Support from community leaders like Arnold Romsumbre is expected to strengthen collaboration between the community and law enforcement to create a safe and peaceful Papua.
