Two Indonesian Ministers Visit Nduga, Female Officers from Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Assist in Security

Nduga, Papua Highlands – Nine female police officers (Polwan) from Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 were deployed to secure the high-profile visit of Indonesian Defense Minister Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati in Kenyam, Nduga Regency, Papua Highlands Province, on Saturday (7/6/2025).

The ministers’ working visit was heavily guarded, with the Polwan officers playing a key role not only in field security but also in ensuring the smooth execution of all activities.

Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, the Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, along with his deputy, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, emphasized that the participation of the nine female officers reflects the task force’s support for the government’s development efforts in Papua.

“The involvement of these nine Polwan officers demonstrates our full commitment to supporting the central government’s initiatives, particularly in maintaining security and stability in Papua,” stated Brig. Gen. Faizal.

Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, the Head of Public Relations for the operation, confirmed that the ministers’ visit proceeded safely and without disruption.

“We thank the people of Nduga Regency for their cooperation with security forces, ensuring the success of this high-level government visit,” he added.

The deployment highlights the ongoing efforts to strengthen security and development in Papua while showcasing the increasing role of women in law enforcement operations.
