Jayapura – In commemoration of Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri, the Law Enforcement Task Force (Satgas Gakkum) of Operation Peaceful Cartenz (ODC) 2025 conducted a Qurban ceremony, slaughtering two cows at the ODC Post in Jayapura on Friday (June 6, 2025). The event symbolized gratitude and strengthened camaraderie among personnel stationed in Papua.
The ceremony, which began at 10:00 AM local time, was led by Kompol Suheriadi, S.H., S.I.K., M.M., the Head of Investigation Sub-Task Force, and Kompol Aries Diego Kakori, S.I.K., the Operational Staff Officer of Satgas Gakkum. It was attended by junior officers (Pama) and enlisted personnel (Ba) at the ODC Post premises.
Kompol Suheriadi emphasized that Eid al-Adha provides an opportunity to reflect on the values of sacrifice and sincerity, aligning with the commitment required to maintain public security and order.
“Eid al-Adha is not just about the Qurban ritual; it also instills lessons on sacrifice and dedication that are integral to our responsibilities,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations for ODC-2025, Kombes Pol Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., praised the initiative for upholding spiritual values amidst operational duties.
“This event shows that even though we are far from our families, we continue to uphold values of togetherness and spirituality as part of our service to the community,” said Kombes Pol Yusuf Sutejo.
The Qurban ceremony proceeded smoothly and solemnly. The meat from the slaughtered animals will be distributed to task force personnel and nearby residents in need, demonstrating the team’s care and solidarity.
Beyond being an act of worship, the event served as a platform to strengthen bonds among Satgas members while extending benefits to the surrounding community.
