Kouh District, Boven Digoel – On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the community of Kouh District, together with the local Bhabinkamtibmas of Kouh Village, Brigadier Rachmat Subekti, held a joint community service activity to repair severely damaged road infrastructure. This initiative reflects the strong synergy between the police and the community in maintaining public safety and improving the quality of life for residents.
The community service focused on the Komaja Road, which connects Kouh Village with Jair Village. This road has long been a concern for residents due to its deep potholes, which have hindered the mobility of the people. With a spirit of mutual cooperation, the community and the police worked together to fill the road with stones and cement collected from the surrounding houses.
The Head of Kouh District, Mr. Paulus Dumatubun, S.Pd., was also present during the activity and expressed his appreciation to the community and the police for their initiative and collaboration. “This community service demonstrates that we all share a collective responsibility in maintaining and improving the infrastructure of our village,” he stated.
The community service started at 09:30 AM local time and lasted until 5:00 PM. Despite the scorching heat, the enthusiasm of the residents remained high as they worked side by side with the police to complete the task.
Brigadier Rachmat Subekti, Bhabinkamtibmas of Kouh Village, stated that this activity is part of the police’s efforts to enhance service quality for the community. “We hope that activities like this will continue and foster greater community awareness of the importance of teamwork and cooperation in solving shared problems,” he said.
Through this joint community service, the people of Kouh District hope to improve their mobility and economic activities. Additionally, this activity is expected to strengthen the relationship between the police and the community, thereby creating a safer and more harmonious environment in Kouh District.
